To meet national medical demands, especially in the complicated situation of the Covid 19 pandemic in Viet Nam, VNPT Group has promptly installed the connected system for remoted medical treatment for 100% district-level healthcare centers.
This program has been developed and operated since April, 2020, connecting 30 central hospitals with 1400 lower-tier medical centres, including those in mountains or islands. However, there are still over 320 district-level centers (statistics provided by the medical treatment management department of the Ministry of Health) in 121 broadcast bridge points, accounting for 45% of the districts and are mostly struggling ones without access to the Telehealth system.
VNPT and Viettel have promptly completed the installment of remote medical care system for 100% district-level clinics, bridging the gap between the administrative levels, treating difficult cases, especially COVID-19 patients who will be taken care of by top experts without having to go to upper-level hospitals. According to doctors in those bridge points, this is one of the most effective solutions when it comes to timely diagnosis, treatment, reducing the workload of central hospitals as well as the contact between doctors and patients. Moreover, this provides remote doctors with calm and confidence in treating complicated cases.
