Mai Duc Canh, a peripheral technician of Sa Pa Telecommunications Center, VNPT Lao Cai, has just received a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Committee for Management of State Capital at Enterprises for his bravery in saving lives in a gas shop fire in Sa Pa town, Lao Cai province.

On August 16, Chairman of the Committee for Management of State Capital at Enterprises Nguyen Hoang Anh issued Decision No. 382/QD-UBQLV on awarding Certificates of Merit to 3 individuals who are employees of Vietnam Electricity. (EVN) and the Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) bravely participated in fighting fires and rescuing people trapped in the fire at a gas store in Sa Pa town, Lao Cai province.

Three individuals rewarded included Mr. Quach Trong Khanh, Deputy Director of Sa Pa Electricity, Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh, driver of Sa Pa Electricity, Lao Cai Power Company, Northern Electricity Corporation, EVN and Mr. Mai Duc Canh, an employee of Sa Pa VNPT Telecommunications Center.
